Apollo Dhaka Hospital is a 450 bed multi-specialty tertiary health care hospital, in fact the first high level tertiary care hospital in Bangladesh. It has all the important medical disciplines with matching diagnostic and treatment facilities. Being a privately funded hospital, it caters mainly to the middle and upper class market. Yet at the same time there is a provision for free beds for those who cannot afford the treatment.
The hospital is an eleven –storey building including a helipad and a basement used for parking built on reclaimed card measuring 4 acres. It has a pile foundation, eleven elevators, a separate OPD and day care surgery block and a separate engineering services
block.
