Apollo Gleneagles Hospital on Friday inaugurated the comprehensive level III pediatric care facility, Apollo Gleneagles Children's Centre. The Centre was formally inaugurated by Preetha Reddy, managing director of Apollo Hospital Group. Other senior officials of the hospital, along with the team of renowned pediatricians who will be running the Centre, were also present during the ceremony.
Inaugurating the centre, Reddy said the Centre will deliver service in a friendly and cheerful atmosphere. It is a multi-specialty centre within the hospital campus that provides of a range of services like critical care, cardiology, neurology, nephrology, endocrinology, orthopedics, pediatric surgery, neonatal medicine, radiology and dentistry for new borns, children and adolescents all under a single roof.
The key features of this Centre will be its eight-bedded Level III Pediatric care unit, four bedded Pediatric High dependency unit, eight bedded neo natal intensive care unit and a standard, semi private, private and deluxe beds. All total, there will be 28 beds at the centre. Besides, the centre will also have a separate entertainment and gaming zone for children while they recuperate, a children library and a child development centre to treat diseases like autism etc.
Later in the day, Reddy met chief minister Mamata Banerjee at Writers' Buildings to discuss on their expansion plans. The Group wants to set up 10 more hospitals all over the state. |
