Dr. Prathap C Reddy
Founder & Executive Chairman
Dr. Prathap C Reddy is the founder of Apollo Hospitals and has been the Executive Chairman since 1979. Dr. Reddy, an eminent cardiologist, received a Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from Stanley Medical College, Madras and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons.
Dr. Reddy established the first operational unit of the Company in Chennai in 1983 and has received numerous accolades. He was awarded the Citizen of the Year award by Mother Teresa in 1994, the Sir Nilrattan Sircar Memorial Oration Award for Medical Excellence in 1998, the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2001 and was presented with the Asia Pacific Bio-Business Leadership Award in 2005 by the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business. Dr. Reddy has also been conferred with the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India in 1991 in recognition of his role in transforming the Indian healthcare sector.
He holds board level position in several leading corporate and industrial bodies.
Ms. Preetha Reddy
Managing Director
A post graduate in public administration and actively engaged in the healthcare industry for over two decades, she has brought in several reforms in the area of healthcare administration in the country. She holds Board level position in several companies and has held leadership position in the various Chambers of Commerce and Indian industry forums.
Ms. Suneeta Reddy
Joint Managing Director
An alumnus of Harvard Business School, she heads the Finance functions of the group. She maintains close interface with leading foreign financial institutions and bodies like the World Bank and the International Financial Corporation.
Ms. Sangita Reddy
Executive Director-Operations
A Masters in Business Administration from Rutgers University, New Jersey and an alumnus of Harvard University & NSU, Singapore, she heads the group’s operational activities and IT initiatives of the company. |
